Pilates is a physical fitness and rehabilitation system developed by Joseph Pilates in
Germany in the early 20th Century. It focuses on the core postural muscles which
are essential to providing support for the spine.

We offer regular classes in pilates and welcome beginners. We run an advanced class for existing practioners of Pilates or for those who have completed the introductory class.
Once to one pilates lessons are also available and have the advantage of being scheduled to suit your diary.
Comfortable and relaxed clothing is recommended.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi originated in India as a physical and mental practice and was first documented in
ritual literature written between 900BCE and 500BCE. The Physiotherapy Centre’s clinical
based Tai Chi has retained many of the original postures and body positions and introduces
them in a gentle and sympathetic and yet progressive way so that the benefits of Tai Chi are
experienced over time.

Classes in Tai Chi can be booked individually or as a course. Individual one to one Tai Chi sessions are also available at times to suit you. Comfortable and relaxed clothing is recommended.
